|
Overview: This session will feature discussions with city representatives in the region about the vulnerabilities to climate change in their respective cities and what is being done to address the challenges. Each city will set up an exhibit to present how they are identifying and quantifying the risks, identifying priorities, and initiating actions to address the adverse impacts of climate change. The audience will be divided into groups and each group will circulate around the exhibits spending 15 minutes at each table. The presenters will lead a discussion with each group and solicit feedback and comments. A rapporteur will take note of emerging common themes, innovative ideas, and peer experiences they can learn from. |

Overview: This session will focus on the process of urban resilience planning and project preparation. Three breakout groups will brainstorm on the three phases of the process. Each breakout group will be assigned a facilitator for participants to discuss/report on commenting and improving the process flows and identifying case studies/resources/best practices. The groups will critique the different steps of the planning phase of the process and identify areas of improvement. |
